GradeMart is a GST-registered marketplace. When you buy with a GSTIN on your account, your sellers issue GST tax invoices and, where applicable, credit notes — all downloadable from your account.
Add your GSTIN to your account
- Sign in and open your account page.
- Enter your company name and 15-character GSTIN.
- Save the details — your future orders are invoiced against this GSTIN.
Note: GSTINs are validated for format. Keep your GSTIN up to date so your tax invoices and credit notes carry the correct details.
GST tax invoices
- A tax invoice is issued when your order ships, showing the seller's and buyer's GSTINs.
- Invoices show taxable value, GST rate and the CGST, SGST or IGST split.
- Prices on GradeMart are inclusive of GST unless stated otherwise — the total you pay is the total on the invoice.
- Download invoices from your account page or the invoice page using your order number.
Place of supply
The place of supply follows your shipping address. Intra-state supplies are taxed as CGST + SGST; inter-state supplies are taxed as IGST. Your invoice shows the applicable tax split automatically.
Credit notes
- When a GST-invoiced order is returned, the seller issues a credit note for the returned value.
- The credit note references the original invoice and shows the tax recomputation.
- Keep credit notes alongside invoices for your GST returns.
PO numbers on invoices
Business buyers can add a PO (purchase order) number at checkout. It is printed on the tax invoice so you can reconcile purchases against your internal purchase records.
Invoice questions
- Invoice not generated yet? Invoices appear once the order ships.
- Wrong GSTIN on an invoice? Contact support before the end of the financial year to get it corrected.
- Need a credit note? Raise a return for the item and it is issued after approval.
